Position Summary
MAG is searching for a F-35/F-22 Functional Manager to coordinate development of the Combat Air Force (CAF) Adversary Air (ADAIR) Enterprise to help solve the CAF’s critical ADAIR shortage.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Participate in the AMIC-led acquisition of contract adversary forces and integrate this acquisition into the larger CAF ADAIR enterprise.
- Coordinate adversary requirements with units internal and external to Air Combat Command (ACC ) to meet CAF training needs at large.
- Coordinate and develop enterprise plans with Major Command (MAJCOM) and Headquarters Air Force (HAF) entities on behalf of Commander Air Combat Command (COMACC).
- Coordinate programmatic changes in existing programs (e.g. T-38, F-16) with owning MAJCOMs and Program Offices; and future programs (e.g. ADAIR-X) associated with the larger CAF ADAIR Enterprise.
- Assist in drafting ADAIR-X requirements associated with the emerging CAF ADAIR Enterprise.
- Develop and recommend budgetary requirements for CAF ADAIR Enterprise for submission within the Fiscal Year Defense Planning cycle. Manage the current FY EXPLAN associated with CAF ADAIR Enterprise.
- Draft classified and unclassified briefing slides senior leaders with coordination between members of A3s 10 Divisions and two Squadrons, and other HAF/MAJCOM agencies with as little as 2-hours of preparation time. Briefing preparation will focus on content, operational focus, format, presentation, professionalism, and accuracy.
- Draft executive-level decision support materials for A3 and prepare position papers, staff summary packages, power point presentations, charts, bullet background papers, etc., to ensure the strategic vision of A3 is properly articulated to target audiences and into actionable tasks.
- Assist with coordination and planning of A3T hosted conferences, reviews, boards, telecoms, and meetings, to include staff briefing preparation, and assistance with event logistics (billeting, protocol liaison, facilities liaison, etc.).
- Prepare and track branch taskings, consolidate required information, and schedule and adjust taskings associated with CAF ADAIR Enterprise.
- Analyze taskings, procedures, practices, and resources for the A3 directorate to be able to effectively and efficiently resolve operational challenges related to CAF ADAIR to help ensure successful mission accomplishment.
- Assist in drafting aircrew or aircraft training device policy and standards for safe integration of ADAIR assets into AF operations.
- Assist in the generation and maintenance of MAJCOM and HAF level operational instructions and contractual arrangements associated with CAF ADAIR.
- Participate in high-level meetings with General Officers and other Senior Staff members and translate strategic vision into recommended actionable tasks.
- Assist in defining A3, ACC and CAF positions and develop recommendations for issues affecting Combat Air Force operational training and readiness as they pertain to the CAF ADAIR enterprise.
- Analyze current policies, programs and requirements as they apply to CAF ADAIR and help develop solutions that can make these assets more effective in their ability to support training requirements.
- Interact and work in conjunction with HQ ACC Senior Staff, their processes, and responsibilities.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- 10 years of USAF fighter rated aviation experience, some of which was obtained within the last ten years, AND 5 years of experience with USAF fighter MDS training requirements including RAP continued training requirements, MQT, and formal training syllabi.
- Functional knowledge of Adversary Threat capabilities, Threat Ratio requirements, AFTTP 3-1 Threat replication, and Adversary Threat Replication Guide (ATRG) as they pertain to fighter MDS training requirement
- An Active DoD Secret clearance

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $101920 to $168480 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAGs total compensation package for employees.
