The Executive – Technical & Operations Capability Development Leader is responsible for global leadership of technical and operations capability development for GE Aerospace including all design, manufacturing and quality engineers and operations across commercial and military product lines. This individual is responsible for:
- The oversight, leadership, and performance of global personnel within the Technical & Operations Capability Development organization
- Developing strategic vision, roadmap and ROI for attracting top collegiate talent, developing the next generation of leaders, and retaining global technical and operations talent
- Elevating the employee’s experiential learning culture with contemporary delivery of technical and operations capability development
- Delivering globally scaled technical and operations skills development, knowledge acceleration, career development opportunities
- Executing foundational and cross-functional experiences within the Edison Engineering Development Program, Operations Management Leadership Program and Manufacturing Engineering Development Program
- Knowledge management, transfer and acceleration from day one through retirement
- Technical communities’ structure, influence and engagement
- University engagement plan
- Defining career paths and measured expectations for each path
- Technical capability reviews
- Strategic workforce planning
- Applying Flight Deck principles to make GE Aerospace technical and operations capability development best-in-class
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 10 years experience in functional management, engineering & technology
- U.S. Citizenship is required
Desired Characteristics:
- MS degree in Engineering, Technology or equivalent
- Engineering, Operations or Quality experience with passion for developing people
- Experience in Learning Development leadership or equivalent
- Demonstrated technical development program execution within a digital, healthcare, engineering or manufacturing industry on large global scale
- Experience creating and delivering experiential learning (e.g., labs, simulations) by collaborating with technical subject matter experts and people leaders to develop training content and curriculum
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
