The Work

As a DevSecOps Manager in Owego, NY, you will lead a multi-discipline team in tackling complex engineering challenges. Your role involves overseeing the technical, cost, and schedule execution of multiple software development activities across various programs. You will be responsible for managing the full engineering development life cycle, from initial design through implementation, ensuring adherence to standards and processes. Your leadership will be crucial in advancing the craft of engineering, introducing modern tools and techniques, and fostering career development for your team members.
The successful candidate will assume a Multi-Disciplined DevSecOps Engineering First Level Management (FLM) position reporting to the Functional Manager of Mission Systems Products and Solutions.
Responsibilities include managing technical, cost, and schedule aspects of software development, as well as overseeing personnel management tasks such as performance assessments, career development, and staffing.
Program duties involve addressing staffing requests, handling contract-related issues, executing recovery plans, and participating in key milestone events.

Ability to travel up to 10 required.
Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance at the SECRET level.

Basic Qualifications:
• STEM or similar background.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM related field.
• Typical minimum related experience of 7+ years.
• Experience with Leading Development Teams.
• Proven leadership experience in engineering assignments and successful proven results in leading and executing on engineering intensive programs.
• Solid foundational understanding of Agile, DevSecOps and Digital Transformation (Dx)
• Strong and proven understanding of the Engineering development process.
• Demonstrated ability through work experience, to partner across organizations to achieve results.
• Ability to travel up to 10 of the time.
• Active Secret Level security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain.
Desired Skills:
• Experience leading large development programs.
• Experience in Product Line development, management, and oversight.
• Understanding of all phases of the Engineering Development Process.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
• Ability to mentor and influence engineers of all levels is also essential
• Candidate should be comfortable with presenting to the customer and all levels of internal and external higher management.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps and Lean principles.
• Passionate about transformation and modernization initiatives.
• Agile Coaching experience and Agile certifications (e.g. Product Owner, Scrum Master, SAFe, etc.).
• Ability to multi-task, excellent communication skills, and full Spectrum Leadership (FSL) skills.
• Candidate must be a strategic, forward thinker with a can-do attitude.
• High desire to provide customer satisfaction.
• New business capture and/or proposal experience.
• CAM certified.
• Strong analytical/debug and SW/HW integration and test skills.
• Demonstrated and recognized for Full Spectrum Leadership behaviors and skills.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $109,500 - $209,900 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $125,900 - $237,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
