JOB SUMMARY:
A position in the Program Management Office (PMO) within aircraft simulation, responsible for supporting the planning, execution, monitoring, and control of projects. Experienced in engineering environments, new product development, cross-functional team building, sub-contracts and business administration, the Project Manager will lead small-cap projects for the company, while also acting as the deputy program manager for larger-cap Programs. The Project Manager role will primarily support the Program Manager, assisting in driving performance across various functions of the company and communicating with project stakeholders. The Project Manager will have strong word processing and presentation skills, be capable of generating work estimates, project plans, requests for proposals, and negotiating sub-contracts with vendors, tracked to successful completion. The Project Manager will be required to build schedules and project plans, collect meeting minutes and oversee action items, while integrating and operating business systems in support of Program quality, delivery and costs. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accountable for the project team’s compliance to contract requirements, quality, and timely delivery of goods and services.
- Leads small projects (e.g. FTDs, Simulator Upgrades, and Services) from start to finish.
- Supports mid- to large-size projects (e.g. FFS and Major Upgrades), serving as administrative support to the Program Manager and alternate when needed, interfacing with key stakeholders.
- Manages supplemental contract services beyond devices, such as Maintenance Training, Spares, Logistics Support, Technical Publications, and Aftermarket Change Order deliverables.
- Develops Sub-Contract proposal requests and statements of work, and leads negotiations of technical requirements, terms, and pricing on behalf of the Program.
- Generates frequent updates on Project and Sub-Contractor performance, communicating through performance reports, record keeping, meeting minutes and actions items.
- Oversee project logistics, collaborating with Warehouse, Receiving, and Shipping departments, to ensure material flow, returns, and service, is on-time and properly addressed.
- Supports inputs to the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), performing reviews of on-time delivery performance to project baseline, risk assessment, and variance analysis.
- Monitor Engineering performance, communicate requirements to design team, working closely with Project Engineer on product configuration and change management.
- Support inputs to various company Business Systems, e.g. software tools used in Programs resource planning, project quality, and portfolio management (PPM) solutions.
- Work with Customers (e.g. Flight Training Centers, U.S. Department of Defense sub-Contract Agencies) and/or Regulatory Authorities (FAA, EASA, etc.) as TRU’s liaison, to ensure positive relationships, device compliance, and readiness for acceptance and/or qualification.
- Engage in continuous improvement of PMO processes and procedures, defined by TRU’s ISO 9001 QMS system.
