The DMS Program Manager - Operational Excellence will be responsible for the overall success of the Operational Excellence program of Delta Material Services (DMS). DMS has been consistently growing since its inception. The Operational Excellence program has been launched to set the framework of continuous improvements in business process management and project management to position DMS for an accelerated growth trajectory.
We are looking for a professional with hands-on experience in managing Business Process Management (BPM) and Project Management utilizing PMI principles in a medium to large scale business enterprise. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual who is adept in working in a strong matrix environment and works collaboratively across business teams. DMS is a dynamic, fast moving work environment with changing priorities like a start-up.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop, implement and execute the operational excellence program across the enterprise
- Partner with organizational leaders and their teams to define and execute results focused improvement initiatives aligned with the strategic objectives of DMS
- Create and lead cross functional project teams including information compilation and information flow
- Responsible for the timely delivery of process and project commitments across teams
- Identify key opportunities and gaps in the core business and project management processes and aligns resources to these priorities
- Coach and train identified project managers to adhere to sound project management practices and methodologies including project identification, budget calculations and business justifications. Track and report project status anticipating and removing project barriers
- Promote a continuous learning environment and ensure ongoing training and development across the enterprise on principles, techniques and methodologies throughout the organization
- Foster a sense of urgency and champion cultural change that pushes for continuous improvement with a focus on improving efficiency, quality and driving down costs
- Drive the utilization of the appropriate charters, quality improvement methodologies, tools and techniques to drive improvements
- Ensure projects are integrated and aligned with other business activities and with the appropriate project/process owners to accomplish the project goals
- Ensure two-way open communication throughout the organization, keep the stakeholders informed of program status, ensure coordination of activities and key learning.
- Demonstrate a data and process mindset and statistically verify improvements.
- Own the timely delivery of initiatives and regularly reports to leadership team with status of schedules, budgets and achievement of intended objectives.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
Candidates for this position may have completion of a Bachelor’s degree in management or related discipline plus 5+ years of experience working in a continuous improvement role with proven track record of leading the transforming of behaviors and subsequently a culture to a continuous improvement organization
3+ years of experience developing and leading teams with strong matrix and indirect reporting relationships in continuous improvement and process excellence
Demonstrated ability to provide team with a clear sense of direction
Demonstrated ability to interact and network with senior executives
Superior communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) to influence, motivate, and manage diverse groups
Strong business acumen and understanding of various business disciplines (commercial, finance, operations, technical, etc.).
Excellent planning, organization, analysis, and problem-solving skills
Passionate about winning and achieving results
Excellent ability to collaborate with various teams across DMS and Delta is required
Working knowledge of the commercial aviation afterspanet will be an added advantage
Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent) is required
Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data
Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles
Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States

- Candidates for this position may have completion of a Masters degree with 3+ years of relevant work experience
