Job Description:
A. ROLE OVERVIEWThe Compliance Lead is a senior-level independent contributor responsible for ensuring that the Simulator Center remains fully compliant with DGCA regulations, international standards, and internal compliance requirements.This role requires deep expertise in regulatory compliance, audits, and quality management related to Flight Simulation Training Devices (FSTDs) and its operations.
The Compliance Lead plays a critical role in liaising with regulatory authorities, internal stakeholders, and external auditors to ensure seamless certification and audit processes. The role also includes monitoring, evaluating, and improving compliance processes to ensure continuous operational readiness and adherence to aviation safety and quality standards.
B. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESRegulatory Compliance & Certification:
Ensures FSTDs and other Training Devices and its operations are in full compliance with DGCA regulations, and other applicable aviation standards for simulator operations.
Oversee and manage the FSTD recurrent qualification and approval process to maintain certification.
Ensures the FSTD Operations of the Training Center is audit-ready at all times by proactively addressing compliance gaps.
Audit Management & Readiness:
Lead and manage internal and external audits, including DGCA surveillance checks, OEM audits, and internal quality assessments.
Act as the primary liaison regarding FSTD Operations of the Training Centre with Quality Manager, regulatory authorities (DGCA), Airbus central teams, and other aviation bodies for all compliance-related matters.
Prepare and maintain necessary documentation, reports, and records to support audit requirements.
Coordinate Corrective Action Plans (CAPA) in response to audit findings and ensure timely resolution of non-compliance issues.
Compliance Monitoring & Quality Assurance:
Conduct periodic compliance assessments and internal audits to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and maintenance procedures in simulator operations.
Work closely with maintenance and technical teams to ensure compliance is embedded in daily operations.
Training & Awareness:
Conduct training and awareness programs for maintenance and operations teams on compliance requirements, regulatory updates, and audit best practices.
Provide guidance to internal teams on regulatory expectations and continuous compliance improvement initiatives.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain and update all necessary regulatory documents, manuals, policies, and procedures related to simulator center compliance.
Ensure timely submission of compliance reports and documentation to Quality Manager, authorities and senior management.
Provide regular compliance status updates and risk assessments to the Head of Maintenance.
C. OUTPUTS & SUCCESS METRICSSuccessful completion of DGCA, regulatory, and customer audits with zero or minimal findings.
Timely FSTD approvals and recurrent qualifications without disruptions.
Continuous regulatory compliance with proactive issue resolution.
Improved compliance awareness and adherence among maintenance teams.
Effective reporting and communication of compliance status to leadership.
