We are looking for a skilled, results-driven Avionics Supervisor to join our team. The Supervisor will embody the core values of Respect, Safety, Quality, and Results while ensuring aircraft maintenance projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Working closely with the Project Manager, Director of Maintenance, and Skills Leads, the Supervisor will oversee daily operations, assign workloads, and ensure compliance with company policies, FAA/EASA regulations, and OEM MPDs.
This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure quality standards, safety, and timely project delivery. The Supervisor will report daily progress to the Project Manager and address any obstacles to ensure successful project completion.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: DEPARTMENT: B777 CARGO CONVERSION PROGRAM
· Maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s Inspection Procedures Manual (IPM) and Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) requirements.
· In collaboration with the Project Manager, assign the following to Skills Leads:
o Manpower requirements
o Ground support equipment
o Tooling and equipment levels
o Facility availability
· Oversee Avionics production flow, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within scope.
· Coordinate with all departments to ensure proper workflow, sequencing, and project completion.
· Hold daily meetings with Skills Leads to review project scope, requirements, and budgetary constraints.
· Provide daily status updates to the Project Manager, reporting progress and addressing concerns.
· Collaborate with Skills Leads to allocate billable man-hours and estimate hours for non-routine tasks, ensuring customer approval.
· Monitor project progress, comparing planned vs. actual man-hours, and ensure the project stays within budget and schedule.
· Maintain responsibility for the project’s budget and delivery schedule, ensuring both are met.
· Delegate tasks as needed while maintaining overall responsibility for successful project completion.
· Provide leadership and mentorship to direct reports, promoting teamwork and high-quality workmanship for on-time aircraft re-delivery.
· Ensure safety standards and regulations are enforced in the work area to prevent accidents.
· Promote good housekeeping practices, fostering a safe and organized work environment.
· Verify proper tagging and storage of aircraft components and parts.
· Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes, enhancing efficiency and safety.
· Review personnel performance and aircraft progress daily, adjusting plans or schedules as needed to ensure timely task completion.
