Job Responsibilities Include:
Run an Effective Operation
- Communicate with managers, peers and team members, both within their immediate department, as well as with other departments.
- Administer company policies and procedures.
- Provide the team with necessary tools, resources, and training to meet or exceed all operational performance goals.
- Involve all team members in the determination of operational improvements.
- Coordinate operation including scheduling, hiring, training, inventory, etc.
Provide Quality Service and Achieve Superior Customer Satisfaction
- Resolve customer service and operational problems.
- Work in operation during peak or irregular periods.
- Spend majority of time in the operation, interacting with employees and clients
- Prepare and/or review customer correspondence.
Meet Profitability and Cost Control Goals
- Develop/Monitor budgets and spending on approximately 5-7 Aircraft Work Orders at a time.
- Actively seek cost reduction ideas
- Monitor lost time and administer the Attendance Policy
Ensure Operational Compliance
- Investigates discrepancies and compiles statistical data for compliance purposes.
- Ensure all employees complete initial and recurrent training as required.
- Ensure all records are updated to include training records and Standard Operating Procedures
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must be able to lead and motivate employees in working as a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be decisive and be able to work under demanding operational conditions in a stressful environment.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, leadership, initiative, and judgment.
- Must demonstrate strong administrative and analytical abilities.
- Must be willing to work outdoors in any weather conditions in accordance.
- Must be willing to work all shifts including extra hours when there are operational needs.
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Must be computer savvy and be proficient with Microsoft software products.
Work Environment & Physical RequirementsThe responsibilities and duties while performing maintenance include, but are not limited to, the following:
Perform day-to-day planned and unplanned aircraft maintenance on aircraft
Perform maintenance in compliance with company manuals, approved technical data, and applicable federal regulations
Maintain and properly use related tools and equipment
Perform all work tasks with a high level of quality, safety, and attention to detail
Ensure all required paperwork and maintenance records are completed accurately and handled in accordance with company manuals and federal regulations
Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
Ability to read, write, and speak the English language clearly
Ability to squat, bend, kneel, climb, and stand for extended periods
Ability to work from maintenance stands, lifts, and lift trucks
Ability to work in confined spaces for extended periods of time
Ability to crawl inside aircraft fuel tanks
Ability to read wire diagrams and understand technical instructions at varying levels of complexity
Ability to follow and disseminate detailed work instructions
Work performed in hangar, ramp, and aircraft environments, including exposure to industrial conditions and varying weather
Perform other duties as assigned; responsibilities and duties may change based on operational needs, including emergencies, workload changes, rush jobs, or technical developments
Experience:
- Aviation Maintenance: 3 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- Airframe & Powerplant License (Preferred)
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
