Selected applicant will be a key member of a dynamic team responsible for assembling & testing engines and APU’s that will deliver to our military and commercial customers around the globe.
What you will do:
- Lead CORE & Overall Continuous Improvement activities at the Product Delivery Center (PDC) that drive tangible action and metric improvements across all product lines of the business.
- Collect, standardize, report, and automate where possible, PDC level, product level, and flow line level Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics and utilize that data to identify areas that require improvement plans.
- Manage and deploy the PDC industrial engineering and digital technology resources to improve metrics that are lagging.
- Assess, establish and execute improvement plans for KPI metrics, CORE maturity level, Standard Production System (SPS), OpX/WAVE, Industry 4.0, and other P&W and RTX initiatives.
- Plan and lead business level CORE events & quarterly CORE Leadership Weeks, drive follow up actions, and provide regular report outs to leadership team.
- Ensure robust process execution by creating & ensuring continual improvements of PFMEA’s across product lines in support of MRL and other product execution readiness activities.
- Establish & oversee CORE proficiency growth of the PDC employee population working in collaboration with Black Belt & Red-X Specialists to leverage PDC activities for broad employee skill growth.
- Support PDC business process audit preparations and follow up activities.
- Minimal travel may be required as needed.
Qualifications you must have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics or Operations, Supply Chain or similar field and 12 years of experience; or an Advanced Degree with 10 years of experience

Qualifications we prefer:
- CORE Apprentice Certification or 3 or more years of working experience in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, operations or preferably six sigma background
- CORE Professional Certification, Six Sigma Training or other continuous improvement training
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to manage, work with, coach, motivate, and influence others.
- Ability to work independently, while delivering on executive leadership expectations.
- Experience/Proficiency using project management and statistical analysis tools.
- Experience leading large scale continuous improvement initiatives across functions.
- Proven project management experience or certification.

This role is:
Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
