Role Introduction
Reports to: Digital Manager - Automation
This role sits under Cathays Digital Department and partners with the Digital Manager to establish a Centre of Excellence, sharing best practices to help business units adopt digital innovation solution automation day-to-day operations.
As the jobholder, you will work closely with different BU’s stakeholders on process improvement to enable agility and cost savings by providing expert advice on the automation area.
You will also manage digital analyst and senior digital analyst in the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with different BUs to showcase automation benefits
- Lead the team of business analysts to collect requirements and identify potential opportunities from BUs
- Evaluate the potential automation initiatives and work with the Scrum master to prioritise the product back log
- Oversee the development of all automation initiatives to ensure the deliverables align with the product vision and achieve intended business objectives
- Will also work with BU to define the automation roadmap for their area, aligning the roadmap with product vision
- Support the Digital Manager, Innovation, in initiating and driving all automation ecosystem projects, including project management and working on product roadmap for RPA and any other assigned tasks
- Conduct spanet research and develop plans to introduce new automation technologies and good industry practices
- Evangelise the benefits of automation and share success stories with BUs to drive adoption
- Share some team management responsibilities with the Digital Manager, Automation and help train up the more junior Digital Analysts in the team
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or related discipline
- Minimum 6 years of working experience in Digital or IT, preferably in areas of automation, AI, ML, Process mining, hyper automation
- Domain knowledge of Aviation is desirable
- Must have worked on different automation tools, for example: UiPath, Blue prism, automation anywhere and others
- Should have worked in establishing hyper automation COE
- Experience in project delivery and conducting workshops with understanding of existing digital landscape within Cathay
- Great team player with ability to inspire, build trust, and promote collaboration among stakeholders in IT, Digital, and business units in Customer Travel and Lifestyle streams
- Proactive, fast learning, independent, and passion for digital excellence.
- Take ownership, resourceful and decisive with excellent influencing, interpersonal, and time management skills
