Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Airline Security Manager to oversee and ensure the effective planning, implementation, monitoring, and control of security operations at all stations in Cambodia. As the key liaison person between AirAsia Cambodia and the local regulator, you will play a crucial role in managing security operations, policies, and compliance with security legislation, regulations, and Group requirements. Additionally, you will act as the Air Carrier Management Representative (ACMR) on behalf of AirAsia Cambodia.
Functional Duties & Responsibilities
Stay updated on existing and new legislation, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local requirements, and anticipating future legislation.
Address security compliance, procedures, and planning with airline personnel, contractors, and other relevant stakeholders.
Organize and provide appropriate risk reporting, including compliance risks, systemic issues, and management metrics. Prepare management reports and escalate issues when necessary.
Take charge of the full range of selection, training, evaluation, counseling, and recommendations related to security personnel.
Manage security awareness and situational awareness programs, as well as formal security training for security staff both locally and internationally. Identify potential security concerns, analyze data on trends and patterns, review security inspection reports, and formulate strategies to address emerging trends and concerns.
Conduct assessments of threats and risk vulnerabilities, and respond effectively to emergencies, crisis situations, and station-specific security needs. Ensure the appointment of qualified security contractors and evaluate their adherence to standards through quality control measures.
Maintain close liaison with local and international agencies to enhance security measures and stay updated on industry best practices.
Develop the annual plan and budget for the sub-department in alignment with the department-wide strategy. Ensure adherence to the approved budget.
Plan, manage, and maintain all security training, both internal and external, at respective stations.
Provide relevant security threat and risk assessments to stakeholders, including management and external service providers. Assess and audit external service providers to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Make decisions related to security operations matters after consulting with the Chief of Security. Report all security breaches, inadequacies, and non-compliance to the Chief of Security.
Stay informed about local regulatory changes and update the Chief of Security accordingly.
Manage security operations in the respective stations, ensuring that security contractors deliver services to the agreed-upon standards.
Skills & Experience
At least 5 years of qualitative experience in security within the Aviation Industry.
Bachelors Degree in any field.
Familiarity with airline business systems and processes.
AVSEC Management and ICAO National Auditor certifications are preferred.
ICAO Aviation Security National Instructors certification is preferred.
Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.
Strong leadership, people management, and problem-solving skills.
