The Areodynamics Operations Executive Leader will shape and execute a global Aerodynamics strategy in partnership with commercial systems leaders. In this role, you will deliver robust solutions for the fielded and NPI commercial products while maturing novel aerodynamic designs for the Future of Flight programs.Job Description
Essential functions
Provide leadership and oversight for quality engineering design, execution, and product safety for GE Aerospace products
Provide leadership and technical direction, influence customer requirements and clearly communicate and execute on customer commitments
Apply FLIGHT DECK fundamentals to continuously improve the effectiveness of the organization to meet evolving customer / business needs
Work collaboratively across product lines and across disciplines and organizations to deliver results
Promote technical excellence across the global aerodynamics discipline
Establish and maintain relationships with required external and internal interfaces to ensure that customer requirements are understood and being achieved
Establish / modify / monitor overall engineering program requirements, timing, and resources of section and support groups to meet / exceed business objectives and goals
Effectively communicate technical and financial aspects of section activities vertically and horizontally in the organization
Ensure positive actions are taken to encourage growth, technical development, and a strong, inclusive organizational culture
Ensure compliance initiatives and training requirements are implemented
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited college or university
8 years of technical leadership experience
US Citizenship required
Must be willing to work onsite in Evendale, OH
Desired characteristics
Master’s Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or college

Prior experience with a focus on managing technical programs and designing and developing new products related to solving product issues
