Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, test and de-cart engine in accordance with engineering/OEM instructions.
  • Carry out basic fault finding, repairs & maintenance on engine, operating system, and plant equipment.
  • Carry out full and partial module changes.
  • Provide technical support to the Test Facility Local Management Team, engine programmes and vendors.
  •  Ensure all items required for test are to required specifications and available within agreed turn time targets.
  • Carry out final checks on completed units ensuring all paperwork is stamped correctly.
  • Assist Test Engineer when required.
  • Assist in Inventory and Final Finishing of Engines.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety and environmental requirements and regulations
  • Adhere to the Company Information and Protection Policy (IPP)
  • Comply with statutory requirements and regulations and Company requirements
  • Carry out any other reasonable request within current competence level
  • Assist in the training of team members ensuring best practice standards are maintained
  • Self-development will be the responsibility of the post-holder. Training and development will be identified and opportunities sought to increase personal effectiveness
  • Maintain positive working relationships with all internal and external departments

 

Position Requirements:

  • Knowledge of gas turbine engine theory and performance.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret company instructions, processes and original equipment manufacturers manuals.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Recognised engineering apprenticeship.
  • Experience in an aerospace or manufacturing environment.
