Job Title: Systems Mechanic
Job DescriptionThe Systems Mechanic is responsible for maintenance and modification tasks related to C-Checks and VIP Modification of 787-9 aircraft. This role involves performing maintenance, removal, replacement, and repair activities of all aircraft systems except Avionics and Interiors, which have dedicated teams. The position also includes responsibilities for a military VIP large jet due for C-check.
Responsibilities
- Repair, modify, replace, or perform routine aircraft maintenance work in specialized areas of aircraft.
- Develop repair schemes utilizing SRM or Engineering data.
- Complete on-the-job-training (OJT) forms and required reading.
- Read and interpret manufacturer and airline maintenance manuals, service bulletins, drawings, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repair, replacement or modification.
- Conduct operational tests.
- Remove and install flight control surfaces and components.
- Perform weight and balance calculations including flight control surfaces.
- Perform rigging and operational tests of all flight control surfaces including autopilot.
- Troubleshoot flight control systems.
- Utilize OEM and Engineering drawings to modify structures and flight controls.
- Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications- 4+ years of aircraft maintenance experience on a variety of systems
- Experience with 787 aircraft highly preferred

- Military experience acceptable
- A&P certification preferred

Work Environment
Work in recently renovated hangars and offices at MWH. The building is operated by our clients customer who engineers the mods, while the large hangar space with two aircraft, storerooms, inventory, etc. are all operated by our client. Workday shifts are Monday-Friday or 4 X 10s Monday-Thursday with possible overtime.

This is a Contract position based out of Moses Lake, Washington.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00
