Aerotek on behalf of its client is seeking Aircraft systems mechanic performing Heavy C-Checks on B787. A&P licensed preferred, not required. DOE $35-45. The work schedule is typically day shift Monday-Friday or 4 X 10s Monday-Thursday. Basic hand tools required.

The Systems Mechanic is responsible for performing maintenance and modification tasks related to C-Checks and VIP Modification of 787-9 aircraft. This includes completing maintenance and repair activities for all aircraft systems, excluding Avionics and Interiors, which are handled by dedicated teams. The role also involves working on military VIP large jets due for C-check.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine aircraft maintenance work in specialized areas of aircraft.
• Develop repair schemes utilizing SRM or Engineering data.
• Complete on-the-job-training (OJT) forms and required reading.
• Read and interpret manufacturer and airline maintenance manuals, service bulletins, drawings, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repair, replacement, or modification.
• Conduct operational tests.
• Remove and install flight control surfaces and components.
• Perform weight and balance calculations for flight control surfaces.
• Perform rigging and operational tests of all flight control surfaces, including autopilot.
• Troubleshoot flight control systems.
• Utilize OEM and Engineering drawings to modify structures and flight controls.
• Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures.

• 4+ years of aircraft maintenance experience on a variety of systems
• 787 experience highly preferred
• Local to area or region highly preferred
• Military experience acceptable
• A&P license preferred

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00
