Summary:
Assemble and fit detail parts and structures, perform drilling and riveting operations, and ensure parts meet requirements.
Transition to new tasks with minimal impact on goal hours and schedules.
Rivet structural members and parts using required tools; remove fasteners without damaging structures.
Read work orders, blueprints, and operation sheets to determine sequence, type, size, and hole pattern for rivets.
Inspect all work for defects prior to final inspection.
Instruct and assist team members with blueprints, drawings, and engineering orders; develop methods to resolve production issues.
Maintain logs and records (e.g., MIR sheets, DMTs, PCOs).
Align and assemble parts using jigs, fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners.
Perform repairs and rework as needed to meet conformity.
Maintain a clean work area, support the 5S & Lean Initiative Program, and comply with safety regulations.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Assist and instruct other team members as needed.
Support Lean activities.
Required Skills:
High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of structural assembly experience.
Experience with Solumina and Smarteam preferred.
Basic computer skills and ability to read scales and perform basic shop math.
Strong attention to detail, professional attitude, and ability to meet demanding schedules.
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints.
Skilled in close tolerance work with knowledge of special tools and equipment.
Ability to work with composite resins and materials.
Flexibility to work any shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to climb ladders, work in small spaces, and maintain good housekeeping and safety practices.
