What You’ll Do:
Assemble and fit detail parts, perform drilling and riveting operations to meet FAA and Gulfstream standards
Rivet structural assemblies and sheetmetal components using pneumatic drills, riveting guns, countersinks, and other specialized tools
Read blueprints, work orders, and sketches to guide your operations
Ensure defect-free assemblies by inspecting and checking all parts before final inspection
Maintain records in the resource planning system to track labor and parts accurately
Key Responsibilities:
Align parts using jigs, clamps, and fasteners for precise fitting and assembly
Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with the company’s 5S Program
Participate in continuous improvement efforts, including Lean activities
Support safety regulations and ensure the proper care of tools and equipment
Skills You Bring:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required
Experience: At least 1 year of structural assembly experience; preference given to graduates of Savannah Tech Aircraft Structures Technical Certificate Program
Tools & Systems: Knowledge of Solumina and Smarteam preferred
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs, work any shift, and handle tasks that require climbing and working in confined spaces
What Makes You Stand Out:
Proficiency in reading blueprints, work orders, and using a 6” scale
Basic computer skills and familiarity with shop math
Hands-on aptitude for craftwork with attention to detail
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and meet strict deadlines
Pay Details: $28.00 per hour
