Responsible for all mechanical components, assemblies, and modifications of the various types of simulator devices. This includes but is not limited to common tasks such as cutting, drilling, fitting, riveting, bending, gluing, and an assortment of assembly fastening techniques. Mechanics are responsible for rigging and lifting major components of simulators. They also operate support equipment like forklifts and scissor lifts, which are essential for removing and installing simulator equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Read work orders, followed production, and sampled assemblies, diagrams, and parts lists or received verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
Drills, taps, reams, countersinks, and spot face bolt holes in parts.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations with other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to figure percentages, area, circumference, and volume and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Must have a good knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical hand tools and be able to effectively use them (Hammers, wrenches, screw drivers, pliers, precision measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers and scales, pneumatic and manual drills, rivet guns, fastening tools such as clamps and Cleco’s shop equipment such as drill presses, brakes and shears etc.).
Must be able to work from parts lists, assembly drawings, schematics, engineering orders, engineering change orders, engineering logs, CAE workmanship standards and CAE manufacturing procedures/work instructions.
Security Responsibilities
Must comply with all company security and data protection/usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper spaning and handling of all information and materials in any form. Shall not divulge any information or afford access to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside the company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company-provided resources.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Moderate to high levels of stress associated with technical, scheduling, and customer issues are to be expected with this position. Extended work hours and possible 2nd and 3rd shift assignments are likely to be encountered.
