Job Title: MechanicJob Description
The candidate will be responsible for performing sheet metal fabrication, riveting, assembling, and disassembling of aircraft structures, primarily Bombardier corporate aircraft. The role involves handling repairs from start to finish, including inspection, evaluation, finding appropriate data in manuals, preparing sketches for engineering support, and providing liaison work. The candidate will execute maintenance and repair requirements for airframe components and assemblies using technical manuals, service bulletins, and other approved data. Additionally, they will provide technical information to engineers for the development of repairs outside of approved data scope when required, perform approved repair operations to structures, overhaul mechanical assemblies, and document maintenance and repair actions per company and FAA requirements. Maintaining a safe and clean working environment is essential.
Responsibilities
- Perform sheet metal fabrication and riveting.
- Assemble and disassemble aircraft structures.
- Handle repairs from inspection to execution.
- Prepare sketches for engineering support and provide liaison work.
- Execute maintenance and repair requirements using technical manuals, service bulletins, and other approved data.
- Provide technical information to engineers for repair development.
- Perform approved repair operations on structures.
- Overhaul mechanical assemblies, including repairs and part replacements.
- Document maintenance and repair actions per company and FAA requirements.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Essential Skills- 3+ years of sheet metal fabrication experience.
- 3+ years of riveting experience.
- 3+ years working on aircraft structures (sheet metal and/or composites).
- Experience with structural repair, assembly, and disassembly.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and repair-related prints/drawings.
- Proficiency with structures and hand tools.
- Ability to read precision measuring tools and instruments.
- Working knowledge of FAA regulations and their application.
- Intermediate computer skills, including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Effective communication skills for technical subject matter.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Minimum of 3 years of experience with aircraft structures.
- Mentoring or prior lead role experience is a plus.
- FAA Airframe certification is a plus.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.

Work Environment
The work environment is a smaller family-owned shop with about 35 employees, where the owner is still involved in day-to-day operations. The position is for the second shift, working four 10-hour days from Monday to Thursday.
