JOB PURPOSE: Accomplishing bidding of potential projects, maintenance planning, scheduling functions, and developing workflows and sequences for maintenance visits.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Physical Demands: Requires sitting and standing for extended periods. Requires frequent walking, bending, and reaching shoulder level. Requires occasional lifting or carrying weights up to 20 pounds. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

Equipment Operated: Telephone, computer, printer, copy machine, reader printer, and calculator.

Work Location: Aircraft maintenance hangars, Technical Library, Planning Office.

Potential Hazards: Exposure to high-intensity noise levels, changes in temperature and materials identified on Material Safety Data Sheets, working around moving machinery.

Protective Equipment Required: Ear and eye protection where applicable.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in bidding tasks for future maintenance projects.
  • Responsible for all planning, coordination, and scheduling activities applicable to aircraft scheduled maintenance events.
  • Develops, plans, and schedules maintenance workloads in compliance with applicable FAA and Ascent Aviation regulations.
  • Translates customers’ work-scope specifications into proper work instructions for accomplishment.
  • Prepares work packages for operations, ensuring that pre-draw parts and material requirements and special tooling were identified and communicated to appropriate departments.
  • Accurately prepares digital project data and performs uploads in the Ascent ERP System.
  • Ensures that all applicable airworthiness directives, service bulletins, engineering orders, and other documentation are referenced in the work package.
  • Runs and reviews maintenance due reports; creates and distributes scheduled maintenance work order requirements for completion using Quantum
  • Prepares Tactical Chart to define Projects milestones.
  • Prepare pre-doc/post-doc meetings with supporting departments to identify/recap maintenance check milestones.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Planning Manager.
Job Requirements:

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to organize and plan work adhering to deadlines; strong attention to detail and mathematical skills; ability to read, write, and understand the English language and to follow verbal and written instruction; ability to interpret and apply technical data relating to the position. Strong Microsoft Office skills

Education/Training: High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree, post-secondary education, training in aircraft maintenance, or equivalent education or experience required.

Experience: Two to five years of experience in aircraft maintenance with planning at an MRO preferred. Computer literacy working with Microsoft software.

Certificates/Licenses: A&P License or similar certification preferred. A valid driver’s license is required.

  • Will participate in and support safety initiatives, safe work practices, and SMS compliance.
  • Will participate in safety activities, including the following: immediately reporting hazards, unsafe work
  • practices, and accidents/injuries.
  • Will follow all safety rules, FAA regulations, PPE compliance, and equipment operation requirements.
