MHI RJ Aviation Group (MHIRJ) is the merging of two important heritages: Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) and the CRJ Series program. We provide comprehensive critical operational, engineering and customer support solutions including maintenance, refurbishment, technical publications, marketing and sales activities for the global regional aircraft industry.
We are seeking experienced aircraft technicians who are interested in becoming a Quality Inspector. We will train interested individuals on the role; no previous inspector experience required!
MHIRJ’s network of service centers, support offices and parts depots are positioned in important aviation hubs in the U.S. The Quality Inspector performs inspections of aircraft, engines, parts, and components using precision tools, equipment, and other materials in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and is responsible for ensuring all airworthiness quality requirements are performed and documented in accordance with all applicable regulations regarding maintenance, preventative maintenance, repair and alteration of aircraft, engine, and aircraft components/parts for which the Repair Station is rated.
Here are the daily responsibilities of a Quality Inspector:
Upon receipt, perform inspection of all new, repaired, and rebuilt parts/components for evidence of physical damage, count, and conformity.
Ensure all work packages (orders and forms) as well as records of arrival, maintenance and corrective actions performed, are documented accurately and that all specialized customer (RED, RFE & SRPSA) and regulatory paperwork (FAA, FAR/CAA, etc.) is complete and required approvals have been obtained.
Research aircraft drawings and technical data (i.e., REO, EINO, EO, EA)
Here is what is required to succeed:
5 years of experience as an A&P Technician / Aircraft Maintenance Technician, ideally in a heavy maintenance environment.
Familiarity with aircraft inspections under FAR 145, 121, 135 or through the military, on military aircraft.
- FAA-issued Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license.
