Job Description:

PURPOSE OF JOB

The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company standards for maintenance and repair operations. This role involves inspecting and certifying the airworthiness of aircraft, components, and systems. The Quality Inspector will work closely with maintenance personnel to identify and rectify any discrepancies and ensure the highest level of safety and quality.

REPORTS TO: Director of Quality / Chief Inspector

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform inspections on aircraft, engines, and components in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA Part 145 regulations and other applicable standards.
  • Document and report any discrepancies or non-conformities found during inspections.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, findings, and corrective actions.
  • Conduct audits and assessments of maintenance procedures and practices.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment used for inspections are properly calibrated and maintained.
  • Provide training and guidance to maintenance personnel on quality standards and procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS


Education, Licenses, Certifications and/or Years of Experience

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance and inspection.

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability

  • Thorough knowledge of FAA Part 145 regulations and aviation industry standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in using maintenance and inspection documentation systems.
  • Experience with quality management systems and audit processes.
  • Rotorcraft Experience Required. Airbus and Bell Experience preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Work is performed both indoors and in outdoors or ambient air temperature working conditions.
  • Incumbent may stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Speaking, hearing, and understanding English;
  • Stooping; bending; twisting; and reaching; and lifting up to 40 lbs. may be required in completion of job duties.
