Job Description:

The Ordnance Equipment Mechanic is responsible for assembling, disassembling, repairing, fabricating, and testing complex electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural systems. 
This role requires expertise in working with avionics, missiles, weapons controls, aircraft armament, bomb racks, launchers, and associated equipment in compliance with military, commercial, and aerospace specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
Assembly & Maintenance:
  • Perform assembly, disassembly, and reassembly of electronic, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Install and adjust mechanical parts to precise tolerances.
  • Conduct wiring, cabling, and component installations in cabinets, chassis, and consoles.
  • Carry out structural modifications, including light machining, sheet-metal work, drilling, riveting, and airframe repairs.

Testing & Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct informal in-process checks to assist formal inspection and test personnel.
  • Perform functional tests and verifications of systems to ensure operational accuracy.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment malfunctions.

Technical Analysis & Documentation:
  • Read, interpret, and analyze engineering drawings, production planning, and technical documents.
  • Ensure work aligns with military, commercial, and aerospace specifications.

Required Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required).

Experience & Skills:
  • Mechanical aptitude is a must—prior experience in automotive, aircraft, biomedical, or racing industries is highly relevant.
  • Proficient in using pneumatic, electric, and hand tools, as well as precision measuring equipment.
  • Ability to drill, bolt, cut metal, splice wires, and modify vehicles.
  • Strong understanding of electronic, electromechanical, and optical equipment/systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform disassembly work.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to bend, reach, and lift objects within Client EHS guidelines.
