Job overview and responsibilities
An employee whose job includes all work generally recognized as Mechanic work in company designated stations. This may include power plants, Line, ETOPS, TDY, refueling, parts, ground equipment, facilities and other related work as directed by leadership.
- Technicians are responsible for all work being performed on shift
- Technicians may be required to test, check, and certify for service work performed
- Perform all aspects of aircraft maintenance work including servicing, repair, and proper work documentation in accordance with company procedures and specifications
- May be required to exercise Aircraft Release Authority
- Demonstrate initiative and corporation to other mechanics
- Receive and dispatch arriving/departing aircraft
- Perform other duties as assigned, such as towing, refueling, etc.
- Help handling parts, maintain tools, ground equipment, facilities and other related work or daily operation needed as directed by leadership
This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded
Unless subject to a collective bargaining agreement in the country to which an employee is being transferred; the employee retains their original date of employment and company seniority in the new country. Upon transfer, the employee is removed from payroll and benefits in former country and appropriately placed in the salary range and payroll / benefits systems of the new country.
Human Resources will assist with the terms and conditions of employment in light of labor agreements, collective agreements, country work rules and labor laws. In the new country, the employee is reinstated using the same employee id, date of employment and company seniority dates.
