Description
What you will be doing as a Maintenance Pipefitter:
In this role, you can expect to layout, install, repair, and maintain critical plant piping systems that keep operations running safely and efficiently. You’ll put your hands-on skills to work solving real-world challenges while contributing to a high-performing industrial environment.
Your responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):
Piping Installation & Layout: Install and layout compressed air, water, steam, natural gas, and specialty chemical piping systems in compliance with the Uniform Plumbing Code to support safe, reliable plant operations
System Maintenance & Repair: Maintain and repair piping systems, pumps, pressure control devices, fuel service equipment, filtration systems, backflow prevention, and reverse osmosis equipment to ensure optimal performance and uptime
Troubleshooting & Emergency Response: Diagnose issues and safely perform repairs on failed piping systems and equipment to quickly restore functionality and minimize downtime
Equipment & Tool Operation: Operate lifts, ladders, cutting torches, and soldering tools to access and complete work on overhead and complex systems safely and efficiently
Quality & Safety Focus: Deliver high‑quality workmanship while following safety standards and best practices to protect people, equipment, and facilities

What you need to be successful:
Required Education:
A high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or bronze level WorkKeys certification
One year of trades school training including Plumbing Code courses
Must obtain and maintain any necessary training and licensing, including but not limited to:
Forklift Operation Certificate
Aircraft Operating Area License
Required Experience:
One to three years of industrial pipefitting and plumbing
Ability to work in somewhat disagreeable working conditions due to exposure to dirt, noise, and weather is needed
Occasionally working in hazardous conditions caused by materials and processes
