The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Maintenance Controller to join the Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team supporting the Helicopter Aircrew Training System (HATS) project in Nowra, New South Wales. The Maintenance Controller will report directly to the Maintenance Operations Manager and be responsible for the coordination and control of Operational and Line Maintenance activity. The primary focus for the role will be to facilitate the safe and timely execution of operational and line maintenance and support for base maintenance, by leading and assigning maintenance team resources as appropriate to prioritize tasking in order to meet the daily flying requirements and fleet maintenance plan.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate the operational and line maintenance activities for HATS EC135 rotorcraft, components and support equipment, including preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the fleet plan and aircraft maintenance schedules.
  • Support the coordination of resources to deliver on the line maintenance, base maintenance and modification programs, including manpower, materials, tooling, aircraft components and support equipment availability and suitability.
  • Exercise and maintain EC135 B and C MAML.
  • Contribute to the training and development of maintenance team members through mentoring and technical leadership.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Certificate IV Aeroskills (Mechanical or Avionics)
  • Ability to successfully interact with co-workers, maintaining productive working relationships to meet team, business unit, and organisational goals
  • Previous experience working on Rotary Wing Aircraft
  • C class MAML (or ability to obtain)
  • B 1.3 or B2 class MAML (or ability to obtain)
  • Experience coordinating maintenance activity
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Detailed knowledge of aircraft maintenance, policies and procedures

Security Clearance

You will be required to successfully undergo the vetting process for a Government security clearance (Baseline) sponsored by BDA. Therefore, you must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information and must have the ability to verify your background for whole of life i.e. birth to present time.
