Take charge of our day-to-day operations, so we remain the trusted source for aviation repair and maintenance. Work with your team to implement the right processes and practices across our organization to help ensure flight and product efficiency.

The Facilities & Maintenance Lead is responsible for performing routine maintenance activities for the facility, supervising third party vendor relationships for ground maintenance, preventative maintenance programs for facilities equipment, pest control, janitorial services and professional/licensed maintenance support. Additionally, the position is responsible for maintaining a maintenance request database supporting maintenance requests and prioritization of requests based on urgency and workloads.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Lead facility maintenance team. Maintain the work and time off schedules for the team.
  • Lead team members to observe and understand all company policies and procedures. Including established systems compliance, safety practices and procedures, performance of overhaul and repair work IAW approved technical data, human resources policies, etc.
  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly inspections of all facilities, equipment and grounds to ensure preventive repairs, general maintenance and housekeeping of facilities, buildings, grounds, and equipment are in good working order. 
  • Maintain maintenance database of requests made with prioritization, degree of skills required, sourcing for request, estimated effort to accomplish and estimated work dates. Assign request to available team members.
  • Perform required minor and/or moderate repairs and general maintenance of facilities, buildings, grounds, and equipment including electrical, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and painting tasks exercising discretion to identify projects that require services of skilled craftsmen. 
  • Provide supervision of external contractors for grounds, preventative maintenance programs, janitorial services and other contracted professional and/or licensed contractor maintenance support. 
  • Service production, and emergency equipment, reporting mechanical malfunctions and recovery plans. 
  • Manage the moving and installation of furniture and equipment. 
  • Set up and break down furniture and equipment, exercising discretion to identify projects that require services of skilled craftsmen. 
  • Order repair parts, services, and supplies or repair equipment as necessary, using discretion relative to costs and budgets. Manage the inventory of spares parts to minimize the impact of repairs on the operation.
  • Manage the handling and transportation of Hazardous Waste.
  • Establish and maintain a preventive maintenance schedule.
  • Maintain a list of approved contracted maintenance service providers. 
  • Lead and sustain the 5s program of the maintenance shop.
  • Maintain the security and fire alarm systems, surveillance equipment and employee access system.

 

Position Requirements:

  • High school education or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of working experience in facilities maintenance, aerospace maintenance, machining equipment experience a plus
  • Understanding of multi voltage electrical systems
  • Ability to push/lift 45 pounds
  • Ability to climb ladders
  • Bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching as job may require
  • Ability to work around lubricants, solvents, batteries, cleaning fluids, paints

 

Preferred Characteristics:

  • Microsoft Office a plus
  • Valid Arizona Driver’s License
  • Well organized with attention to detail 
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
