Job Description
Perform inspections of aircraft or parts during modifications, installations, or overhauls to determine airworthiness, safety, and conformance to approved data and company standards and requirements. Return aircraft and aircraft parts to service while interpreting and conforming work to electrical and structural drawings. Ensure work is accomplished in accordance with FAA regulatory procedures and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Review data for major alterations and repairs, complete and file FAA Form 337, and submit for field approvals when required.
- Review completed work orders and conduct airworthiness directive research.
- Prepare data packages for aircraft certifications and accomplish logbook entries.
- Interface with the FAA to ensure compliance and safety standards are met.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of quality control inspector experience on turbine helicopters in a Part 145 environment is preferred.
- 5 years of hands-on turbine helicopter maintenance experience.
- Technical knowledge in mechanics, hydraulics, electricity, sheet metal, rigging, instruments, and test flights.
- Good working knowledge of 14 CFR Part 145 regulations and related areas.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
- FAA A&P license is required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with rotary wing aircrafts.
- Strong avionics experience is a plus.
- Must be proactive, team-oriented, and detail-oriented.
