Job Title: Flight Readiness Technician Inspector
Job DescriptionWe are seeking Flight Readiness Technician Inspectors (Level C) to join our Delivery Center team in North Charleston, South Carolina. In this non-managerial role, you will perform routine final component installation and verification, as well as systems operational functional validation testing. The position involves rework, modification, maintenance, preflight and post-flight checks for delivery, and troubleshooting. Responsibilities
- Perform inspections of flight test installations and aircraft functional testing.
- Inspect pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and avionics systems to isolate mechanical and/or electrical/electronic faults and document faulty components.
- Conduct pre-flight and post-flight checks and perform inspections of maintenance and modification actions.
- Resolve identified problems during operation and testing of deliverable products.
- Verify the accuracy of work performed.
- Assist in performing system & sub-system pre-delivery inspections and aircraft maintenance in preparation for delivery.
- Plan, schedule, and arrange own activities with the assistance of lead. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
- Work any shift needed by the operation (1st: 6:00am-2:30pm, 2nd: 2:30pm-11:00pm, 3rd: 10:30pm-6:00am).
Essential Skills- Aircraft Mechanic experience
- Flight Test experience
- Pre-flight and post-flight troubleshooting
- Aircraft structural maintenance and repair
- Ability to fabricate and lay out reference points
- Assemble structures according to blueprints and engineering specifications
- Knowledge of hand tools and portable power tools
- Experience with major dispatch services
- Understanding of live aerospace vehicle operations, including pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and propulsion systems
- Knowledge of aircraft manufacturing maintenance processes, policies, culture, and standard practices
- Familiarity with the responsibilities and tasks performed by various Operations departments/disciplines
- Understanding of quality systems and inspection processes
- Knowledge of regulatory authorities rules, regulations, flight test procedures, and philosophy
- Ability to stand, lift up to 35lbs, and climb stairs
- Experience working outside in all weather conditions
- Experience with 787 or composite aircraft
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Willingness to work any shift including days, nights, and weekends
- FAA Airframe & Power Plant license or equivalent experience to obtain an FAA Repairmans certificate
- 1+ years of Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience
- 1+ years of avionics and/or electrical experience
- 787 Program experience
- Experience in a team environment
- Team Leadership (formal/informal) experience
- Airline/MRO/Overhaul experience
- Experience with computing and operating systems
- A&P license preferred

Work Environment
This is an onsite role with multiple shifts available (1st: 6:00am-2:30pm, 2nd: 2:30pm-11:00pm, 3rd: 10:30pm-6:00am). Candidates must be willing to work any shift, including weekends as needed. The work environment includes physical demands such as bending, climbing ladders (max height of 6 ft), fitting in confined spaces, and being on your feet for multiple hours a day. Successful completion of 8 weeks of formal classroom training is required.
