Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Director of Aircraft Maintenance based at Chicago O’Hare Airport. The position requires an entrepreneurial-spirited individual with a focus on growing and sustaining new businesses focused on developing aircraft and engine service programs, including engine troubleshooting, maintenance, removal, and installations, and supporting established businesses and operations at Chicago O’Hare International Airport. As a 
Director of Aircraft Maintenance, you will be responsible for providing support to the company with details in the responsibilities section below.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance, safety, reliability, and economy by proactively developing and managing effective processes and procedures to support business operations.
  • Act as the primary FAA contact for matters regarding aircraft and engine maintenance.
  • Provides managerial authority and is the accountable manager for all processes within the aircraft maintenance department, including quality, maintenance control, parts, technical support, technical publications, maintenance training, and maintenance records.
  • Hire and develop employees to fulfill service levels to meet the requirements of the company's 
    clients.
  • Manage company facilities, equipment, tooling, and vehicles to required service levels.
    Responsible for assisting with functions associated with customers’ requirements, including but not limited to, accounting, invoicing, and inventory reconciliation.
Job Requirements:
  • Must hold a current A&P license and meet the supervisory and experience requirements to be an accountable manager.
  • Aircraft and engine maintenance experience on regional and commercial type aircraft with an air carrier or certificated repair station.
  • Experience in a supervisory capacity in aircraft maintenance operations.
  • Experience in working with the FAA and experience/training in non-destructive testing (NDT) is a plus.
  • Effective dynamic leadership attributes in managing people, interacting with operations with a strong customer focus and business acumen.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skill.
