Position OverviewJob Title: Aircraft Structures Mechanic
Job Type: Full-Time; Consultant (6 Months)
Location: Piney Flats, TN
Schedule: Monday – Thursday 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (4x10 First Shift)
Pay Rate: $25.00 – $40.00 per hour
What Youll DoAs an Aircraft Structures Mechanic, you will support aircraft modification and repair activities that ensure structural safety and operational readiness.
Key responsibilities include:
Install Bell, Aeronautical Accessories, and other afterspanet aircraft kits
Perform major and minor repairs and alterations to aircraft structures, including sheet metal and composite repairs
Fabricate structural components and mounting provisions for avionics installations
Measure, drill, and modify aircraft structures with precision while protecting underlying components
Read and interpret manufacturer drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
Document work performed accurately and consistently
Collaborate with maintenance teams to complete aircraft work on schedule
Assist line crew with additional duties as needed
Maintain safe work practices and consistently wear proper PPE
Perform tasks efficiently with minimal rework while maintaining high quality standards
Support additional maintenance activities as assigned
Required QualificationsApproximately 4 years of experience performing aircraft structural work or related duties
Experience with sheet metal repairs, structural modifications, and fabrication
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and installation instructions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented maintenance environment
Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools and aircraft structural equipment
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred QualificationsFAA Airframe Certification
Experience with Bell aircraft or rotorcraft structures
Experience installing afterspanet modification kits or performing avionics-related structural fabrication
Physical RequirementsThis position requires the ability to perform physically demanding aircraft maintenance tasks, including:
Lifting up to 25 lbs independently and 50 lbs with team assistance
Prolonged kneeling, squatting, crawling, climbing ladders, and working from stands
Standing for extended periods throughout the shift
Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Bending, stooping, and crouching as required during structural repairs
Strong visual attention to identify small defects and structural issues
Clear communication with team members regarding work progress and potential issues

Pay Details: $25.00 to $40.00 per hour
