Job Title: Aircraft Structural TechnicianJob Description
Technicians are responsible for completing work orders and performing general repairs under the direct supervision of a lead tech. They are not working on aircraft directly but instead work on a bench repairing, modifying, refurbishing, and fabricating sheet metal structural assemblies and sub-assemblies. Day-to-day duties include working with a variety of fasteners, riveting, bending, countersinking, and precision drilling. Examples of structural components being worked on include landing gear doors, ailerons, flaps, etc.
Responsibilities
- Complete work orders and perform general repairs under supervision
- Repair, modify, refurbish, and fabricate sheet metal structural assemblies and sub-assemblies
- Work with a variety of fasteners, riveting, bending, countersinking, and precision drilling
- Handle structural components such as landing gear doors, ailerons, flaps, etc.
Essential Skills- Experience with structural mechanic tasks
- Proficiency in aircraft sheet metal and sheet metal repair
- Ability to perform sheet metal repair, fabrication, and modification
- Attention to detail and care for quality
- Knowledge of aviation and airframe structures
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Proficiency in riveting and heavy structures
- Experience with aircraft modification
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Basic mechanical skills and aptitude
- Previous training with sheet metal

Work Environment
The work environment is a nice, large, climate-controlled backshop with a total of 40 employees, fostering a great culture where everyone knows everyone. The shift is Monday to Friday, 6 am to 2:30 pm, with the potential for 2 hours of overtime each day, though it is not promised or required.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
