What Youll Do as an Aircraft Sealer:
- Participate in a 9-10 week on-the-job training program to master aircraft sealing techniques.
- Apply sealants according to specifications
- Install various aircraft system components (e.g., panel installs)
- Operate mechanical lifts (ladders, tiger and snorkel lifts)
- Use a variety of hand and power tools (rivet gun, bucking bar, screwdrivers, etc.)
- Work with chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, and paints
- Conduct quality inspections and prevent foreign object debris (FOD)
- Adhere to strict safety and compliance standards
What Youll Need to Be Successful:
- 1+ years of aviation or technical school experience, preferably in aircraft structural or sealing work.
- Ability to complete New Hire Training Cycle Flow to obtain and maintain required certifications
- Proficiency in using computers in a production environment
- Ability to read and comprehend technical work instructions, drawings, and specifications
- Experience with using hand and high impact power tools
- Physical ability to climb, balance, crawl, crouch, and lift up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and use respirators
- Strong attention to detail
