General Description
A&P Mechanic III providing full on-site maintenance flight/functional check flight operations to support the USAF Rotary Wing Initial Entry Pilot Training on the MH-139/AW-139
Duties
- Provide aviation maintenance and repair services, operational support, including testing of aircraft, aviation systems, and associated support equipment.
- Interpret technical data, publications, and directives.
- Complete all launch and recovery of aircraft flights and unscheduled aircraft maintenance.
- Isolate and troubleshoot faults.
- Manage all documentation including internal contractor pilot and non-rated crew member flight records, HAZMAT, safety, scheduling, etc.
- Complies with all regulatory, customer, and contractual requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- FAA A&P license required
- 8 years of experience in aircraft maintenance or 6 or more years of verifiable rotary-winged aircraft maintenance required.
- 2 years of experience in AgustaWestland aircraft AW-139 experience is required
- AW-139 FAM Course highly desired
- Must be a US citizen

- Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day.

- Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
- May be required to lift up to 50 pounds and carry for short distances.
- May be required to read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools.
- Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings and other small scales.
- Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
- Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
- May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, fork lift, APU, etc.
