As an Aircraft Mechanic, you will perform work on assigned aircraft, including assembly, repair, and modification of mechanical assemblies and subassemblies, adhering to FAA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Bench assemble and install major mechanical components and systems on aircraft.
• Perform functional tests of mechanical components and systems on aircraft.
• Correct discrepancies using information from engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, or other documents as required.
• Use manufacturing planning, written instructions, schematics, blueprints, and other applicable technical data to assemble, install, or replace aircraft components.
• Use manufacturing shop stamp or test stamp to sign off completed work, including manufacturing planning, test procedures, inspection discrepancy records, product assurance records, and applicable program documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy work area.

• Minimum of high school education.
• Aviation mechanical experience (rotor or fixed wing), 5 years minimum.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical publications.
• Ability to use and maintain various pieces of ground support and test equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions and the ability to concentrate.

• 5 or more years of work-related experience or an equivalent of educational experience.
• A&P certification.

Work Environment

Work in a hangar environment with a 5/8 shift schedule, Monday – Friday, 6am – 2:30pm. Overtime is a possibility but not guaranteed. All openings are for contracts of 4-6 months.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
