Position SummaryDavcor Aviation Services is currently seeking entry-level Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (AMT I) to support aircraft maintenance operations. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who are dependable, safety-focused, and eager to begin a hands-on career in aviation maintenance.
No prior aircraft maintenance experience is required. This position provides on-the-job training in a safety-sensitive, FAA-regulated environment alongside experienced aviation maintenance professionals.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with aircraft maintenance tasks under the supervision of experienced technicians
Use basic hand tools and maintenance equipment to perform assigned duties
Follow technical data, work instructions, company manuals, and safety procedures
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Minimum QualificationsMechanical aptitude and experience using basic hand tools
Basic personal hand tools required
Ability to work in confined spaces (required)
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and follow detailed technical data and work instructions
Valid driver’s license
Must successfully pass pre-employment screening, including:
FAA-mandated drug test
Background check
Work Environment & Physical Requirements (Confined Space)This position requires work inside aircraft fuel tanks and other confined spaces. Technicians must be able to safely enter, work within, and exit confined areas in accordance with OSHA confined-space standards and company safety procedures.
Responsibilities and physical requirements include, but are not limited to:
Perform maintenance tasks in confined and restricted spaces with limited clearance
Safely enter and exit aircraft fuel tanks through access openings typically ranging from approximately 12–24 inches
Perform work that may require reaching, bending, crawling, kneeling, and working in tight spaces for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
Ability to squat, bend, kneel, climb, crawl, and stand for extended periods
Ability to work from maintenance stands, lifts, and lift trucks
Ability to read, write, and speak the English language clearly
Ability to follow and disseminate detailed work instructions
Work performed in hangar, ramp, and aircraft environments, including exposure to industrial conditions and varying weather
Perform all work with a high level of safety awareness, quality, and attention to detail
Perform other duties as assigned; responsibilities may change based on operational needs
