Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Aero-Mechanical Technologist to join our dynamic and diverse engineering team working on advanced aerospace projects influencing national defence and aviation safety.? This position offers hands-on experience in aircraft repair, modification design, structural analysis, data analysis, and aircraft maintenance. You will collaborate closely with other engineers, technologists or technicians on projects that meet stringent industry standards and customer requirements.
What You Will Do:
Depending on your experience level, you will:
- Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for aircraft modification programs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Participate in the design of aircraft structural modifications.
- Design aircraft repair solutions.
- Perform structural analyses using classical methods.
- Participate in aircraft in-service support programs such as aircraft structural integrity Programs (ASIP), Electrical Wiring Interconnect Systems (EWIS), Mechanical Systems Integrity Programs (MSIP), and Engine Structural Integrity Programs (ENSIP).
- Support testing and inspection activities, including data collection and reporting.
Conduct data analytics.
- Participate in engineering design projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and engineering change processes.
What You Will Bring:
We are looking for candidates for positions ranging from entry-level to seasoned team leaders:
- A technology diploma in mechanical, aerospace or a related discipline.
- 0 to 8+ years of experience.
- Strong understanding of engineering design fundamentals.
- Proficiency with CAD tools. Experience with CATIA and AutoCAD an asset
- Structural analysis experience is an asset.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and learn quickly.
- Analytical skills for data interpretation.
- Familiarity with aerospace standards and practices is an asset.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and other relevant tools.
- Candidates must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Secret Level II Security Clearance through PSPC- Contract Security Program, and Transport Canada RAIC clearance.
