Job Description:

The A&P Program Course Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing the Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) technician & apprenticeship program. This role includes coordinating course schedules, managing curriculum development, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and industry standards, and facilitating effective communication between instructors, apprentices, technicians, and management. The Course Coordinator ensures that apprentices & technicians receive high-quality training and support throughout their program and maintains the overall effectiveness of the training program.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee the A&P apprentice & technician program, ensuring all aspects of the program are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Develop and manage course schedules, including assigning instructors and coordinating training sessions.
  • Collaborate with instructors to develop, update, and refine training materials and curricula to meet FAA regulations and industry standards.
  • Provide support to A&P instructors by facilitating communication, addressing concerns, and assisting with instructional needs.
  • Monitor apprentice & technician progress, address performance issues, and provide guidance and support to ensure successful completion of the program.

Qualifications & Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in program coordination, instruction, or management is required.
  • Prefer three (3) years of experience working with general aviation airframes supported by Western Aircraft, with a strong background in A&P practices.
  • Prefer one (1) year of Corridor computer system experience.
  • Prefer Gulfstream / Falcon / Embraer / Citation / Pilatus / Piper / King Air experience.

 Education:

  • Prefer Airframe & Powerplant certifications.
  • Teaching or instructional certifications are a plus.

Other Prerequisites

  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Ability to obtain airport-issued security badge.

Working Environment

  • Work is performed in an office environment and requires sitting 6-8 hours a day.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs. and constantly require clear vision, repetitive movement of wrist, hands, and/or fingers, and sufficient personal mobility to operate in a general office environment.
