Job Description:

Aerotek on behalf of its client is seeking qualified A&P Mechanics with at least 2 years of relevant experience. Hiring asap.

Pay: $36 -42/hour based on experience, plus paid flight time, PTO, and paid holidays. +$5.00/hour while on fire contract, plus maximum GSA per-diem

Bonus: Once direct, 3 to 5/year

Travel: Very minimal until fire season starts, then 75 travel June – Sept (est.)

Job Description:

  • Performing maintenance on firefighting aircraft for state and federal governments and agencies, including Canada and provinces.
  • Next generation CanadairCL-415 amphibious airtankers, Avro RJ 85 airtankers (Same as BAe 146)

Work Environment:

  • Off Season: Hangar maintenance, C checks, preparation for fire season.
  • During Season: Traveling with aircraft for 2 weeks, home base MRO in Spokane for 2 weeks (including 3 days PTO). Extensive OT during deployment.

Interview:

  • Phone interview with mx manager, visit facility

Qualifications:

  • A&P License
  • Valid Drivers License
  • 4+ years of aircraft maintenance experience
  • Must be open to overtime
  • Must be open to working in the field (travel)
  • Expertise in Avionics or Structures highly preferred
Work Environment
  • Hangar maintenance, repairing aircraft from the previous fire season, and installing upgrades and mods. Hours: 7am - 3pm, Monday through Friday.
  • During Fire Season Season (March 31 - October 31, with travel varying based on fire activity): Travel with aircraft for 3 weeks, home base MRO in Spokane for 1 week. Work 50-100 hours/week during deployments, with per-diem on top of hourly pay or all meals and lodging provided
  • Field Premium: $5.00 per hour as a 2nd Mechanic, $7.00 as the Lead, with an additional $1.00 per hour for every year as a Lead. Yearly bonus of 3-5.
