A&P Mechanic / Aircraft Technician - G280

Fair Wind Air Charter is seeking an A&P Mechanic/Aircraft Technician for a managed fleet of two Gulfstream G280s operated under Part 91.

Fair Wind Air Charter is a private company based in Stuart, FL, however, this position supports an owner account based at the Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport (KROC).

This position works under the direct guidance of the Lead A&P Technician with support from the Director of Aviation and Fair Wind Air Charter Management.

Position Details:

The selected applicant will:

• Test, adjust, and replace components such as airframe and engine parts. Using various test equipment, measuring instruments, technical documents, and maintenance manuals
• Perform preventative maintenance and servicing of aircraft
• Ensures applicable documents and records are maintained
• Use good judgment and experience to complete tasks
• Occasionally lift up to 70 pounds
• Frequently bend, twist, and lift while practicing safe lifting methods
• Work primarily within an aircraft, aircraft hangar, or in an office setting
• Sit working at a desk and use a computer for periods of time
• Travel via airline to domestic and international destinations; on an as-needed basis
• 10% travel possible

• High school education or equivalent
• Hold a valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant license
• Hold a valid U.S. Passport or the ability to obtain
• Must have own basic tools
• Ability to obtain and maintain airport SIDA badge
• Must be dependable and punctual
• Knowledge of the Federal Administration Regulations and industry standards relating to aircraft maintained
• Live within 60 minutes of the Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport or willing to relocate

Ideal Qualifications:

• 0-5 years experience
• Gulfstream experience
• Basic computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office suite
