Job Summary: 

The Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for managing and maintaining the tool crib operations within the aviation maintenance department. This role ensures that all tools and equipment are properly stored, maintained, and issued to technicians as needed. The Tool Crib Attendant plays a crucial role in supporting the maintenance team by ensuring the availability and functionality of tools required for aircraft maintenance and repair.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tool Management: Maintain an organized and efficient tool crib, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and easily accessible.
• Inventory Control: Conduct regular inventory checks to monitor tool availability and condition. Report any discrepancies or shortages to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Tool Issuance: Issue tools and equipment to maintenance technicians, ensuring accurate tracking of tool usage and returns.
• Maintenance and Calibration: Perform routine maintenance and calibration of tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of tool inventory, usage, and maintenance activities. Update the tool management system as needed.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all tools and equipment meet safety standards and regulations. Report any damaged or unsafe tools to the Maintenance Supervisor immediately.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to maintenance technicians by promptly addressing their tool needs and inquiries.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the tool crib operations and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a tool crib or inventory management role, preferably in the aviation industry.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Basic knowledge of tool maintenance and calibration.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with aviation maintenance tools and equipment is a plus.

The role will be based in the back of a hangar within the warehouse, which is non-climate controlled. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with some overtime required as needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milton, Florida.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
