Job Title: Shipping Coordinator

Position Overview:

As a Shipping Coordinator at Daher Aerospace, you will play a crucial role in managing the end-to-end shipping process for our aerospace products and components. You will ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shipping Management: Oversee and coordinate all shipping activities, including the preparation of shipping documents, scheduling, and tracking of shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Documentation: Prepare and review shipping documentation such as bills of lading, packing lists, and customs declarations. Ensure all paperwork complies with regulatory and company standards.
  • Vendor Coordination: Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to arrange transportation and resolve any shipping issues. Negotiate rates and services as needed to optimize costs and service levels.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor and manage inventory levels related to shipping activities. Ensure accurate inventory records and timely updates to reflect shipped and received goods.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections and verifications to ensure that products are properly packed and meet quality standards before shipment. Address and resolve any discrepancies or quality issues.
  • Customer Communication: Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers by addressing inquiries, tracking shipments, and providing timely updates on delivery status.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including international shipping requirements, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the shipping function and contribute to the development of more efficient procedures.

Profile and other information related to the position

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant certification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a shipping or logistics role, preferably within the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in shipping and logistics software (e.g., ERP systems, shipping management tools).
    • Familiarity with international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
    • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
