The Production/Material Control Clerk will expedite materials, parts and services required to produce units and assemblies according to established procedures or detailed instructions. Receive and check equipment, tools, components, and all incoming materials. This position will be working in Annapolis, MD.

Analyze detail and develop summary data to determine missing and/or erroneous elements. Identify sources of necessary information. Coordinate solutions for satisfaction of requirements. Translate plans and requirements into specific tasks to be performed. This includes quantitative and schedule parameters. Participate in establishing factory attrition criteria. Communicate results to personnel responsible for execution. Obtain information needed to determine status of hardware, documents, equipment, tools, etc. Recommend of take necessary actions to assure accomplishment of desired results. Notify responsible personnel, including Supervision of results/problems. Establish or recommend priorities of tasks to be accomplished that require the utilization of limited resources. Revise to accommodate changing conditions. Communicate with NG and non-NG personnel to provide data or request action to resolve problems that have been identified. This includes, but is not limited to, documents, hardware, equipment, tools, et. Advise other personnel, including Management of potential problems. Provide sufficient information to identify, as completely as possible, the parameters and impacts of these problems. Provide instructions and explanations to lower classified personnel on procedures, techniques, principles, and practices involved in organizational unit to which incumbent is assigned. Monitor status of tasks by lower classified personnel and suggest improvements, when necessary. Recommend changes in procedures, techniques, principles, and practices that will improve reliability, productivity, quality and performance. Attend programs/project meetings to provide data/visibility and coordinate actions as appropriate to achieve desired results. Requires use of computer equipment and business systems output. Includes inputs necessary to resolve discrepancies/problems. Coordinates engineering input/output so as to assess impacts and determination of implementation to configuration, price, delivery and break-in points. Coordinate and communicate assessments program office, configuration control and requirements generation personnel for appropriate actions. Responsible for data accuracy of all information generated and review accuracy/completeness of data received. Adhere to established procedures and practices as required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma

Minimum of 6 total years’ experience in Production Material Control functions

Ability to move and position objects weighing 40 pounds

Experience with Inventory, Planning, Expediting, Receiving, and/or Storeroom/Warehouse activities

Experience with SAP

U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Forklift certification

Current Top Secret clearance

Salary Range: $49,162 - $117,638
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
