Job Title: Composite Bond Technician
Job DescriptionPerforms bonding of metallic or nonmetallic materials to fabricate parts and/or for repair applications using products and processes which are varied but generally not complex in scope.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications sketches, job orders, planning documents, and engineering drawings.
- Determine equipment requirements and the method and sequences of operation to be followed in fabrication of parts using materials such as graphite, fiberglass, plastic, epoxy resins, and rubber.
- Plan, lay-out, fabricate, and build adhesive bonded assemblies of metallic and non-metallic composite materials.
- Fabricate composites and metal parts into subassemblies for the purpose of pre-fitting in preparation for bonding, curing in press ovens, and autoclaves.
- Lay out, pre-fit, assemble, and perform lay-up on a variety of metal-to-metal and composite bonded assemblies.
- Fit core in where close tolerances are required for installation of details for completion of assembly.
- Perform vacuum bagging.
- Lay out and mark dimensions and reference lines on material to develop and trace patterns of product or parts or use templates.
- Select tooling and materials compatible with the processing techniques identified in the work instructions.
Essential Skills- Experience with composites and bonding.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Ability to lift 50-75 pounds as needed, standing and bending for continuous periods of time.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions and read and implement instructions from OEM drawings (in English).
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with repair applications is a plus.

Work Environment
Work in an Aviation 145 repair station, specializing in the overhaul and repair of aircraft parts. The position will start on 1st shift (6am-2:30pm).
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00
