Job Description:

Overview we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Store Manager to oversee our Shipping and Receiving Operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for oversight of all purchasing, shipping, receiving, inventory, stores/stock clerks and responsible to the Director of Maintenance and or General/ Accountable Manager.

Stores Manager Responsibilities:

  • Ability to pass FAA/DOT required drug and alcohol program to include random testing as required by regulations.
  • Purchasing of inventory via a third-party sourcing company.
  • Assist with the outsourcing of parts including using alternate parts looking up and creating and maintaining the PO lists in a format acceptable to leadership.
  • Oversee the handling and preservation of all parts and articles in the stockroom and shipping/receiving areas.
  • Performs shelf life and life limit audits.
  • Conducts incoming material receiving inspections and records them as prescribed by the Repair Station Manual.
  • Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
  • Ensure Store items are maintained in an orderly and accessible manner in receiving areas, tool cages, supply rooms, or other areas.
  • Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, and calibration stickers provided by RSM.
  • Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
  • Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
  • Provide direction to other Stores and shipping and receiving workers.
  • Coordinates with the Purchaser to ensure the timeline of inventory and min/max levels are being met.
  • Dispose of damaged or defective items, in accordance with prescribed regulations, RSM, and/or return the item to the vendors.
  • Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, price lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued.
  • Manage, monitor, and ensure shipping and receiving is an adherence to all in-house local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Track packaging and returns via the company Sinex system.
  • Ensure subordinates are properly trained in the usage of the facility Sinex system for Stores Records.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of FAA Alerts to Bogus parts, pertinent bulletins, and all internal policies.
  • Responsible for overseeing the outsourcing component repairs and calibrations from the approved vendor list.
  • The Stores Manager will delegate all assigned duties and responsibilities to a qualified assistant, to be carried out in his/her absence as required. However, such delegation does not relieve the Stores Manager from their overall responsibilities.
  • Any additional duties assigned by the General/ Accountable Manager. 
Job Requirements:
  • Must have at least five years of experience as a Store Manager within an MRO/Aviation setting
  • Clean driver's license is preferred since some parts might need to be picked up or delivered through the company vehicle.
  • The position requires DOT Random Drug Testing as well as a background check. In addition, the candidate must be a US Citizen or have a green card due to FAA/ITAR requirements within the facility.
  • Stores Manager will be a working manager ensuring a clean working environment and maintaining supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
  • The Stores Manager will determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, RSQCM policies, and physical capabilities of facilities.
Salary Range: $53-$60
