Coastal Aircraft Services is seeking a disciplined and exceptionally competent Aviation Operations Manager to join our team in Gulf Shores. This multi-role position serves as the logistical heartbeat of our shop. Our ideal candidate is a detail oriented person with multiple years of experience in aviation, automotive parts, or high-stakes logistics and customer service to help us maintain a seamless flow of components and documentation while also being the voice of the company to our customers.
Overall Philosophy:
Workflow Architect: Works together with the DOM to develop, and owns the administration of the master schedule, balancing shop capacity with part lead times to ensure Timely Execution.
Logistics Command: Manages all parts, materials, and supplies procurement, core returns, and vendor relations, ensuring maximum profit margins and minimum possible wait time for parts.
Financial Integrity: Manages QuickBooks, invoicing, financial and KPI reporting to protect the shop’s profitability.
Client Liaison: Acts as the primary point of communication with customers for status updates and scheduling. Manages our CRM.
Administrative Compliance: Manages the "paper trail" (work orders, 337s, log entries) to ensure everything is ready for mechanics’ final technical sign-off. Ensure the shop has access to the most current maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and regulatory data required to legally perform work on the specific airframes in the hangar.
Inventory Control: Develop and maintain effective inventory controls. Conduct inventory regularly, but no less than quarterly.
