KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

The New Pacific Airlines Aircraft Purchasing Agent is responsible for procuring aircraft parts, supplies, and equipment to support the maintenance department, ensuring operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The Aircraft Purchasing Agent plays a crucial role in maintaining inventory levels, negotiating financially sound purchases, and upholding high standards of accuracy and efficiency in procurement processes. Other responsibilities aligned with New Pacific’s Core Values include but are not limited to: 

• Upholding safety by ensuring the proper storage, handling, and shipping of aircraft parts in compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
• Demonstrating commitment through diligent procurement practices, timely order fulfillment, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Acting with integrity when negotiating purchases, ensuring cost-effective and transparent transactions that align with company policies.
• Embodying the spirit of connectedness by collaborating with maintenance personnel, vendors, and management to meet operational needs efficiently.
• Showing reliability through proactive inventory management, prompt response to aircraft-on-ground (AOG) situations, and adherence to purchasing procedures.
• Promoting commitment by engaging in courteous and respectful interactions with suppliers, supervisors, co-workers, and business associates.

The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under time-sensitive conditions. Other qualifications include: 

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have experience in inventory processes, procurement, or a related field; experience in aviation purchasing is preferred.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and possess strong computer skills.

• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Must possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License with a good driving record.
• Must have a strong safety awareness and the ability to adhere to Safety Management Systems (SMS).
• Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug test.
• Must be able to obtain a CMH SIDA Badge.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
• Must be comfortable working in an airport environment around odors and sounds typically associated with operating aircraft.
