Job Description:
Position Purpose:
Under minimal supervision, perform various composite part manufacturing functions, including complex lay-up, cutting, bagging, autoclave, trimming, and complex repairs in a production environment. Provide specialized technical assistance and interact with team members to resolve manufacturing issues.
Essential Functions:
• Manufacture a wide variety of composite aircraft parts to meet manufacturing specifications in a team-
oriented work environment.
• Demonstrate the ability to meet the requirements of the Manufacturing Competencies at the appropriate
level in the Employee Effectiveness Review.
• Proficiently read work orders, blueprints, Clients specifications, lofts, sketches, and operation sheets to
determine the sequence of operations.
• Skillfully use special tools and equipment, including precision measuring devices such as a 6" scale, 1"
micrometer, and 6" dial caliper.
• Check all work to ensure a defect-free assembly prior to inspection.
• Maintain and use all logs and records, such as MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs, DR/DI, etc.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area, support the companys FOD and 5S programs, and comply with all
safety regulations.
• Support Lean activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Skills: Basic computer skills.
• Experience: Three (3) years of related composite experience.
• Special Skills:
• Ability to work with composite resins and materials.
o Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
o Proficiency in using mathematical formulas to solve dimensional problems involving fractions and
decimals.
Other Requirements:
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.
• Must be able to work any shift.
