JOB SUMMARY:
This is a 2026 summer internship in our Engineering department. The intern will utilize AI/Computer Skills to help automate, recognize and streamline areas that would benefit from continuous improvement streamlining. Areas that will be focused on will be Engineering department metrics and analyzing of existing reports/data that could be optimized by AI including creation of checklists or ways to optimize existing checklists using info that is generated by downstream user input (including correction of previous mistakes).
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
- Research and review current checklists, reports, metrics, and issue reports (squawks/RMEAs) for areas that could be improved.
- Use software (including AI) to evaluate existing information and come up with automated ways of producing reports or metrics.
- Discuss with different Engineering departments to determine new areas of potential Continuous Improvement.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Coding and the ability to create macros within the Microsoft office suite of software
- Ability to communicate with others, to conduct research and test out new ideas
- Self-motivated with the ability to work without constant supervisory direction.
- Must be currently enroll in an accredited college or university and must reside in the United States.
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Computer Science major preferred
COMPENSATION:
The compensation for this position is $20.00 per hour. This position is eligible for overtime.
