Boeing Global Services is seeking a motivated and talented Senior Procurement Specialist to support our business in Springfield, VA. Join a high-performing team with a track record of achieving excellent customer ratings by contributing directly to positive customer outcomes.
Successful candidate will collaborate with Boeing technical experts and world class suppliers to meet unique mission challenges through innovative solutions that improve the resiliency and efficiency of critical USG infrastructures. Additionally, extensive experience in government contracting, acquisition, or procurement is required. This role requires strong leadership skills that will be used to:
- Lead and train Procurement Agents to expand their capabilities
- Conduct compliance audits of procurement files
- Bring solution to complex problems and process improvements initiatives
- Build enduring relationships with stakeholders and service providers that will take this department to the next level.
You will be viewed as a Subject Matter Expert, and will have the opportunity to improve your ERP skills with an industry leading business software platform (SAP S/4 HANA), as well as be relied upon by management to think strategically as well as operationally.
Position Responsibilities:
- Integrates program, customer, product and in-service strategies into source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies
- Negotiates pricing and contract terms and conditions. Prepares and completes negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements
- Conducts risk, issues and opportunities management
- Handles supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance
- Initiates and implements supplier improvement activities and integrates results into contracting strategies
- Lead/train a cadre of six professional Procurement Agents
- Use SAP to mine data for essential reporting and metrics development
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 4+ years’ experience in government contracting, acquisition, or procurement
- 4+ years’ experience with FAR/DFAR and other Government agency specific regulations
- 8+ years’ experience as a Buyer, Procurement Agent, Planner or Coordinator
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or related field or equivalent government experience
- Professional certification from APICS or ISM
- Experience with SAP (S/4 HANA)

Summary pay range: $102,000 - $138,000
